 The Yakima Valley Museum, located in Franklin Park, offers historical exhibits on the Yakima Valley, from a petrified forest to a Neon Garden, and showcases superb collections of horse-drawn vehicles and Native American artifacts. Within the museum is the Children’s Underground, an interactive learning center offering activities and programs for children ages 5 to 15. The Museum Soda Fountain, a functioning replica of a late 1930s Art Deco soda fountain, serves ice cream specialties and lunch. The museum also operates the nearby H. M. Gilbert Homeplace, an authentic late Victorian farmhouse. |
